How to Use This Tool

This tool converts QFX files into QBO format. It runs directly in your browser — your financial data is never uploaded anywhere.

QFX is Quicken’s Web Connect format; QBO is QuickBooks’ Web Connect format. Transactions, IDs, and account details are carried across so the output imports cleanly.

  1. Provide your QFX file — Paste the file content or drop your .qfx file onto the File tab.
  2. Check the account details — They’re filled in from the file automatically; correct anything that’s missing.
  3. Download the QBO file — Then import it into QuickBooks (Banking → Upload transactions).

FAQ

5 questions
Does this tool upload my financial data?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your bank transactions never leave your device — no server receives, stores, or processes them.
Why would I convert QFX to QBO?
QFX is Quicken's Web Connect format and QBO is QuickBooks' Web Connect format. The formats are nearly identical under the hood, but each app only accepts its own variant — so a QFX download from your bank needs converting before QuickBooks will import it.
Are transaction IDs preserved?
Yes. FITIDs from your QFX file are carried over unchanged, so your app's duplicate detection keeps working if you import overlapping date ranges.
Where do the account details come from?
They're read from your QFX file automatically — account number, routing number, institution, currency, and ending balance — and you can edit any of them before downloading.
Why does QuickBooks reject my converted file?
Some QuickBooks versions validate the INTU.BID field against Intuit's institution directory. The converter carries over your bank's ID when present; if the import fails, check the INTU.BID value under More Options.
